Italy Legalizes Online Bingo

In a move that has built significant momentum for the online bingo industry’s apparent spread around the globe as of late, Italy becomes yet another nation to legalize online bingo sites within its borders after a recent decision from a regional court. The court acted to suspend certain laws that had previously made the sites not allowable and therefore Italian citizens were not permitted to take part in what has certainly become a massively popular online past time. The Lazio region, where the sites met resistance, has changed its stance thanks to the Administrative Court of Appeal that suspended the decree put forth by the Administrative Court of Lazio which had halted bingo web sites operating with the aim of inviting Italian players to participate. The decision means that online bingo operators will be able to resume their offerings after a brief halt that took place towards the end of December 2009.
